Please join us for an informative discussion on Daylighting. Arup designer Joyce Hahn is passionate about daylighting design. She will discuss the basics of daylighting, how it works in conjunction with lighting design, types of analysis, and the ways a daylighting consultant approaches different projects.

She will specifically dive into past daylighting projects such as the UCLA Graduate School of Art, how Arup utilized sunlight in their downtown LA office, and how daylighting is integrated with other disciplines at Arup. This will be a wonderful opportunity to share with the IESLA EP community the latest tools and knowledge about daylighting design.

Speaker:

Joyce Hahn is a lighting designer and daylighting specialist in the Los Angeles Arup office. She is a graduate of USC’s Master in Building Science program with a specialization in lighting and has an undergraduate Architecture degree from UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design. She has been a lighting designer for 5 years, working at Horton Lees Brogden Lighting Design and at Arup.
