At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Examine flicker and stroboscopic effects, whether perceived or invisible, and how they can affect human behavior, task efficiency, and other social and human factors.
- Understand how flicker and stroboscopic effects are being measured and discussed within the lighting industry by groups such as IEEE, Energy Star, DOE, NEMA, and others.
- Examine the evolution of lighting technologies, including the latest technologies that utilize constant current, to control flicker and stroboscopic effects by replacing PWM methodologies.
- Discuss what these technological advancements mean for the greater community in applications such as schools, offices, and industrial facilities.
