Fundamentals of Lighting – Begins Sept. 12, 2018
Join IES Los Angeles for the NEW Fundamental of Lighting (FOL) course this Fall 2018! Earn up to 21 IESNA CEU’s and 21 AIA LUs with HSW credit! Fundamentals of Lighting is a new IESNA course that replaces the ED-100 series that is comprised of 7 Modules. This refined course will provide a foundation for lighting covering the history, definitions and important issues, light sources, fixtures and controls, the basics of lighting design for interiors and exteriors, and basic photometry and calculations. This class will be beneficial for students, architects, lighting designers, interior designers, electrical engineers, electrical contractors, manufacturers and distributors.

We will accept new students up to September 13 as long as we have open seats. To insure you will have a program binder in time for the first class, please sign up by September 1st
Fundamentals of Lighting – 7 Modules:
Module 1: Basic Lighting Concepts, Vision, and Color
Module 2: Electric Light Sources and Ballasts
Module 3: Luminaires and Controls
Module 4: Photometry and Calculations
Module 5: Lighting for Interiors
Module 6: Lighting for Exteriors
Module 7: Important Issues in Lighting
Cost of the class is $250 for current IES members and students (with a current/valid student ID) and $300 for non-IES members. All required materials are included in the cost of the class. Light snacks will be provided for each class beginning at 5:30. If your company has three or more attendees you will qualify for a 10% discount off the class cost. Checks or money orders will be the only forms of payment accepted.
